Make Me an Offer

Getting support during COVID-19 by offering it to others

Well this sucks

A recent poll has shown that social distancing due to COVID-19 is causing increased feelings of anxiety, depression, loneliness and isolation. It has never been more important than now to stay connected with your team members as we each navigate the uncertainty posed by the global pandemic. So how do we do that?

Better to give than to receive

A 2016 study by American Psychosomatic Society found that  giving support can not only have a positive impact on yourself, but it can have a lasting impact on social support and benefit health.

Our new activity, “Make Me an Offer”, is inspired by Bethany Teachman, director of UVA’s Program for Anxiety, Cognition and Treatment, and helps you create resilient support systems within your team. The activity focuses on what one can offer to each other before we think about what we need from one another.
